The Senior Mechanical Designer Engineer role will involve: Working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers Managing a small team of Designers Perform mechanical design calculations and analyses using FEA tools Review drawings and design results Analyse component data and assess for suitability for DFM Being involved in recruitment / expanding the team Seeing through design projects from concept through to completion Producing 3D designs using Solidworks Generating the BOM's to go with the associated designs Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required You will be working closely with project engineers, physicists and production staff. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Degree BSc / BEng qualification in Mechanical Engineering Proficiency with 3D CAD software - ideally Solid Works but other programmes might also be considered Minimum 3 years of industry experience, working on designs for manufacture Ideally have some experience supervising others and leading teams Have the ability to carry out mechanical calculations Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) Excellent proficiency with Microsoft OfficePackage and Benefits: £30,000 - £55,000 / 25 days BH / Casual Dress / Company events / Free Flu Jabs / Free Parking / Health and Wellbeing Programme / Training / ProgressionIf you are interested in this position please click 'apply'.
