About the role: The Early Years SEND Team is seeking a dedicated Administrator to support our expanding Statutory SEND Team, focusing specifically on children with SEND in their Early Years (aged 0-5 years). This role is crucial in assisting our Early Years SEND Team to deliver exceptional support to children, families, settings, and other stakeholders. Your efforts will support the inclusion of children with SEND, into and within Early Years Settings and through their transition to school, ensuring the best outcomes for children with SEND and enabling access to their educational placements. What will you be doing? As an Early Years SEND Administrator, you will be at the forefront of communication with settings, parents and stakeholders, often providing the first point of contact for reaching out to our service. Your duties will include: Managing our phones, answering queries from families and professionals Acting as first point of contact for emails, including requests to the Early Years SEND Inclusion Panel (for example, inclusion support funding) and other relevant work Drafting and uploading letters and contracts Managing our secure email system Processing invoices Updating and keeping complex records on various systems Monitoring reviews and sending out reminders Organising meetings Taking minutes and summarising decisions in panels and meetings Along with other relevant tasks that support our team Required Experience and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have: Knowledge of work practices, processes, procedures, and policies related to SEND Experience in education, health, social care or other relevant fields Competence in using IT packages and the ability to learn new systems About you: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to independently plan your workload to meet specified timescales are a must. You will also be energised by working under pressure, able to switch between competing priorities, and comfortable using your initiative. Finally, you will have the skills to analyse and interpret information from a wide range of sources, and excellent written and verbal communication skills which mean you can summarise that information concisely.
