AGS Social Worker Central – Manchester City Council
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract Type: Full‑time / Permanent
Additional Payment: Essential Car User Allowance

Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert social work support within the Central AGS Service.
* Support partners and families through assessments and interventions.
* Contribute to multi‑agency coordination and decision‑making for children and families.
* Deliver consistent care, safeguarding and supportive interventions.
* Participate in case management, planning and service delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Registered Social Worker with at least 2 years experience.
* Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
* Provide 3‑year reference history (2 references).
* Medical clearance – Pre‑placement health assessment (PPHA).
* Enhanced DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
* Full valid driving licence and own car for Essential Car Use.
* Currently living in the UK (no overseas applicants).
