We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior/Principal/Associate Geotechnical Engineer based in our Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast, Manchester or Leeds offices to support our rapidly expanding workload and our exciting portfolio of prestigious geotechnical projects both in the UK and internationally.
We need to increase our team to meet the growing demands from our clients, especially in the infrastructure sector (rail, highways & water) and the energy sector, including carbon capture & storage, renewable energy (wind, hydropower), low carbon engineering, offshore and onshore oil & gas, and nuclear power.

Requirements:
* The successful candidate will be a senior/principal geotechnical engineer with proven technical and project management experience. Mentoring junior engineers requires good communication skills.
* Degree in civil engineering or geology, postgraduate qualification in geotechnics, and chartered status as a civil engineer or geologist.
* Ability to develop and expand our infrastructure geotechnics capability within our growing, flexible team.
Candidates should have:
* Extensive experience in sectors like highways, rail, or water geotechnics.
* Strong academic background, ideally MSc or equivalent.
* Chartered status.
* Experience as a senior/principal geotechnical engineer in a fast-paced consultancy.
* Project management skills, client relationship management, work planning, and commercial understanding.
* Proven geotechnical design experience.
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations in design and ground investigation.
* Strong interpersonal and technical leadership skills.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
* Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas.
* Valid UK driving license.
