Fashion Designers – Menswear & Womenswear
Are you a trend-led designer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment?
Do you enjoy working across diverse categories with the freedom to respond to trends in real time?
Can you balance creativity with commerciality to design products that land with impact?
MacGregor Black is currently working with a global fashion group on the search for multiple Fashion Designers across menswear and womenswear, based in Manchester.
These are hands-on, fast-moving roles designing full collections with clear brand identity and strong consumer relevance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design commercial, trend-led collections across either menswear (streetwear, smart casual, activewear) or womenswear (partywear, smart casual, trend-led)
* Create detailed CADs, tech packs, and design specs to hand over to development
* Work closely with buying, merchandising, and production to ensure alignment across fit, margin, and timing
* React quickly to fast-moving trends, creating capsule drops and repeatable bestsellers
* Conduct ongoing trend research, competitor analysis, and seasonal forecasting
* Present collections internally with clear rationale across look, feel, and function
* Manage multiple briefs simultaneously under tight timelines and deliverables
* Contribute to brand identity and visual consistency across collections
What We’re Looking For:
* 2–8+ years of fashion design experience in fast fashion, e-commerce, or high street environments
* Strong CAD and Adobe Illustrator skills, with experience creating full tech packs
* Knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and fit processes
* Strong sense of trend forecasting and commercial styling
* Highly organised, with the ability to deliver against multiple deadlines
* Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
* A portfolio that shows both creative flair and commercial awareness
