Assistant Homes Manager (Permanent) – The role is full‑time and predominantly Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm, with flexibility to cover shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, sleep‑ins and bank holidays.
The salary is £42,839–£47,181, depending on experience and competence.
About the Role
As an Assistant Homes Manager, you will support the Homes Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the home, deputise in their absence, take executive decisions to keep the home safe, effective and compliant, and play a key role in developing staff, supporting reflective practice and maintaining high standards of care for the children and young people.
Responsibilities
* Support the Homes Manager with day‑to‑day operations and deputise in their absence.
* Triage, take executive decisions and ensure the home operates safely, effectively, and in line with regulatory requirements.
* Develop staff, support reflective practice and maintain the highest standards of care.
* Ensure children receive a nurturing and stable environment.
* Participate in shift rota, including early, late, night and weekend duties as required.

* Experience working with children with emotional and behavioural challenges.

* Willingness to work towards a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management (if not already held).
