Our client, a leading manufacturer of domestic shower pumps, mains booster pumps, and accessories, is seeking a successful Area Sales Manager to join the field sales team.
The role covers the Midlands, including MK, NN, CV, WR, B, LE, DY, WV, WS, TF, SY, ST, DE, NG, and LN postcodes. The candidate will sell to national and independent builders' merchants, plumbers' merchants, distributors, M&E contractors, plumbers, installers, house builders, and social housing sectors. The position offers a circa £47,000 basic salary, a 25% bonus potential, a car or allowance, a 6% pension, health cover, and other attractive benefits. - THE ROLE;
* The Area Sales Manager will sell the company's range of shower pumps, mains booster products, and accessories, primarily used in the domestic residential market.
* The projects involve a mix of new builds and refurbishments in private and social housing sectors.
* You will manage and develop a portfolio of several hundred accounts, including national and independent builders' merchants, plumbers' merchants, buying groups, and distributors, focusing on increasing demand by targeting contractors and installers.
* The territory covers the East and West Midlands, extending as far south as Milton Keynes and north to Stoke.
* The postcode coverage includes MK, NN, CV, WR, B, LE, DY, WV, WS, TF, SY, ST, DE, NG, and LN.
* This role involves managing a multi-million-pound ledger with approximately 70% account management and 30% new business development.
* As the role progresses, you will also call on plumbers, installers, house builders, and M&E contractors, then back-sell into your merchant and distributor networks.
- THE COMPANY;

- THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE;
* Ideally, the candidate will have experience selling for a plumbers' or builders' merchant or distributor and seek career progression within a manufacturer, or already work for a manufacturer with strong merchant and distributor contacts.
* Experience in the plumbing sector is preferred, though excellent training is provided.
* You should be a strong relationship builder with a proven track record of sales success and networking skills.
* Energy, enthusiasm, ambition, and a positive outlook are essential.
* Aiming for a long-term career, as the role is expected to evolve into more project-led responsibilities.
- THE REMUNERATION;
* Basic salary ranges from £45k to £47k, depending on experience, with potential flexibility for industry stars.
* Quarterly bonus potential of up to 25%.
