LGV / Plant Engineering Mechanic Tilbury ️ About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced LGV / Plant Engineering Mechanic to join a well-established operation within the forestry, logistics, and heavy transport sector. This is a key hands-on engineering position responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the reliability of a mixed fleet of HGVs, LGVs, and plant equipment operating in a high-demand, time-critical environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in keeping vehicles operational, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous site activity across a 24/7 operational network. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HGVs and plant equipment Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults Complete safety inspections and ensure all vehicles meet DVSA compliance standards Respond to breakdowns and urgent repair requirements when needed Work across a range of heavy vehicles and specialist plant machinery Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation Support operational uptime across a busy transport and logistics fleet Work collaboratively with other engineers and site teams to ensure efficiency Requirements Minimum Level 3 City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering Proven experience working with HGVs / LGVs / heavy goo...
