Product Manager (New Categories and Innovation) – Normanton/Hybrid – £38,000
Elevation Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a growing national business to recruit a Product Manager to focus on new categories and innovation. This role will suit someone who enjoys identifying commercial opportunities, building supplier relationships and delivering new products to market from concept through to launch.
This is a key position within the commercial function and will play an important role in the expansion of the product portfolio into new and emerging categories. The role offers genuine scope for influence, alongside exposure to senior stakeholders and international suppliers.
We’re looking for a commercially driven and innovative Product Manager to lead the identification, onboarding, and successful launch of new products across emerging categories and verticals. As diversifies into new markets, customers, and brands, this role is pivotal in ensuring we expand beyond our core ranges into complementary product areas that drive growth and long-term value.
You’ll be responsible for shaping new category propositions, securing supplier partnerships, and managing the product introduction process from concept through to launch. The role requires a blend of commercial acumen, market insight, and product management expertise to ensure that consistently delivers a competitive, relevant, and future-facing portfolio.

The Product Manager will:
* Category Expansion: Identify, evaluate, and introduce new product categories and verticals that align with strategic growth plans.
* Supplier Development: Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and brands to broaden product offering.
* End-to-End Product Management: Own the product introduction process for new categories – from market research, business case development, and supplier selection through to launch and ongoing performance tracking.
* Market Insight: Analyse trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to build compelling propositions for new product categories.
* Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Category Management, Procurement, Product Marketing, and Sales to ensure smooth integration of new products into the portfolio.
* Commercial Negotiation: Negotiate supplier agreements, costs, and commercial terms to ensure best overall outcomes for .
* Performance Tracking: Monitor sales, margin, and customer adoption of new products, recommending enhancements and optimisations.
* Compliance & Quality: Ensure all new products and suppliers meet compliance, responsible sourcing, and brand standards.
* Innovation Pipeline: Build and manage a roadmap for new category introductions that supports diversification and long-term growth strategy.
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (Flexi time)
The Person
* Experience in Product Management/ Product Marketing
* Proven track record of using Excel
* Strong commercial awareness and market analysis skills
* Confident negotiator able to build supplier partnerships
* Flexible with occasional travel in the UK and overseas
