Job summary There is an exciting opportunity for a full time Consultant in Acute Medicine to join the existing team working across WTWA Hospitals. Many of our consultant colleagues undertake regional and national educational, governance and leadership roles alongside delivering acute care. The Acute Medical and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) team includes 15 consultants with a breadth of specialty knowledge. We are supported by an excellent multidisciplinary team. This includes 3 Advanced care practitioners, one consultant nurse, 2 pharmacists, 3 physician associates, occupational and physiotherapists, discharge facilitators, locally employed senior and junior clinical fellows and rotating doctors in training. This appointment will be made in accordance with the 2003 Consultant Contract Terms and Conditions. The Job Description indicates the main duties of the post, which may be reviewed in the light of experience and developments within service.
