Based in Derbyshire, we offer a wide range of bespoke cabins and modular buildings for various purposes such as classrooms, offices, hospitals and welfare facilities. Role Description

We are looking for a driven and customer-focused Business Development Manager to join our growing team. This role is focused on generating new business and managing client relationships within the portable cabins and modular buildings sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full sales cycle—from initial enquiry through to closing deals—before handing projects over to our Project Manager for delivery.

This will be a hybrid role based on site in Draycott or commutable to any of our customer sites Nationwide – Standard hours are Monday - Thursday (9am - 5pm) with a Flexible Friday (9am - 1pm) option of working from home or the office to suit you.



Key Responsibilities

* Business development – building strong relationships with new and existing clients
* Respond to inbound enquiries and generate new leads
* Identify opportunities within target markets (construction, education, healthcare, etc.) to generate new business
* Proactively reach out to potential clients in line with KPIs
* Qualify enquiries and understand client requirements
* Prepare and issue quotes for portable cabins and modular buildings
* Follow up on quotations and negotiate to close deals
* Prepare a clear and accurate project handover for the Project Management team
* Ensure all client requirements and specifications are documented
* Attend site visits nationwide as required as well as industry events.
* Support a smooth transition from sales to delivery

Knowledge, skills and experience

* Proven experience in a business development role or similar preferably in the construction sector
* The ability to plan, prioritise and manage own work to deliver agreed targets and KPIs
* Effective and appropriate communication skills via email, phone and in person
* Confident speaking with clients and building relationships, strong communication, negotiation skills and lead client meetings, presentations on teams or on site.
* Ability to manage multiple enquiries and quotes simultaneously
* Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* Experience in construction, modular buildings, or related industries
* Strong IT skills including using CRM systems such as HubSpot to organise and manage your own pipeline
* Full UK driving licence

What we offer

* A salary of £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience, uncapped commission structure (OTE £50,000 - £65,000+)
