Teaching Assistant – Weymouth Location: Weymouth, Dorset Salary: £85 – £95 per day Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential for long-term placement) Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier for the right candidate) Teaching Personnel is working closely with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Weymouth, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and/or 2. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping children reach their full potential in a supportive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs. Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, classroom organisation, and behaviour management. Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. Encourage pupil participation and engagement through positive reinforcement. Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children in a school or similar environment is desirable. A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to learning support. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. TA qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3) are beneficial but not essential.
