ASC Support – Teaching Assistant

Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a nurturing primary school in Huyton. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children who benefit from tailored support and understanding.
The Role:
As an ASC Support Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with ASC.
* Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
* Assist the class teacher in creating a calm and engaging learning environment.
* Support pupils with communication, sensory needs, and social interaction.
* Work closely with the SENCO, parents, and external professionals.

The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience supporting children with ASC or other SEND needs.
* Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
* Is patient, empathetic, and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
* Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Is passionate about inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.
