Electrician / Electrical Engineer
Location: Inverness or Fort William (regular travel required) Salary: From £35,000 per annum Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week + 1 in 3 weeks on call
Be Personnel is delighted to be supporting our client with the recruitment of a skilled and self-motivated Electrician / Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering Team. This role supports Freshwater farms and Recirculation Units and offers the opportunity to work autonomously in a dynamic and growing environment.
The successful candidate will carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical work, ensuring all plant and equipment operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all Freshwater sites
Maximise uptime and performance of all plant and equipment
Develop, implement, and manage preventative maintenance programmes
Advise Farm Managers and Area Managers on engineering improvements
Plan, cost, and deliver site upgrades and engineering projects
Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and actively promote site safety
Maintain clean, safe, and organised working environments
Manage spares and inventory to minimise equipment downtime
Support budget control and provide cost-effective engineering solutions
Ideal Candidate Profile
You will have a strong, multi-skilled engineering background and a proactive approach to continuous development.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years industrial experience
Recognised, time-served Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent
SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or similar qualification
BS 7671 (18th Edition) certification
Computer literate, including spreadsheets and general software
Full UK Driving Licence (or willingness to obtain support available)
Ability to work independently across multiple sites
Desirable:
Periodic Inspection & Testing (2391-52 Level 3) qualification
Experience within aquaculture, industrial, or similar environments
