Salary: £28,000 - £30,000
Shift: Mon – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm (12:30pm Finish on Friday)
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Technician to join an established engineering company based in Newport.
This market leading engineering business, operating in a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotive and transportation.
Main responsibilities:
1. Perform final Inspection, being responsible for the quality of product leaving the factory guided by job instructions, standards and specifications
2. Carry out other inspection duties, such as PPI, as required, in support of production
3. Participate in RCA at site to help decrease non-conformance trends
4. Monitor data for trends to prevent non-conformities
5. Carry out final release documentation checks and sign Certificates of Conformance
6. Liaise with Customers and Suppliers as required to resolve issues
7. Become familiar with AS9100 and NADCAP process requirements
8. Liaise with internal departments to troubleshoot on a daily basis and work towards eliminating sources of non-conformance
9. Perform internal audits as required to support the site’s quality management system
10. Assist with maintaining and monitoring the site’s quality management system processes and approvals such as calibration, document control and training.
Qualifications, experience and skills:
11. Familiar with Inspection techniques (Visual & First Article Inspection experience with Measurement Using Equipment such as Micrometres, Elcometer, Surface Roughness, etc.)
12. Familiar with Lab procedures and methods (beneficial)
13. Ability to read and follow engineering drawings / specification
14. High Level of attention to detail

Salary / package:
17. Pension - match contribution from 4% - 10%
