Main Purpose of Position:
Manage and improve the Can Manufacturing Processes and related support functions for the manufacture of Aluminium Beverage Containers at the Wrexham facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* To ensure the safe running and condition of the Wrexham site.
* To develop maintenance plans and techniques to improve the uptime, repeatability and reduce the cost of the can manufacturing process.
* To ensure that all relevant engineering standards, procedures, and key process documents are up to date.
* Implementation of new CMMS system in conjunction with central team.
* To control spend to budget and to develop targets. (to include the use of benchmarking)
* To assist with size changes and maintenance activities.
* To manage a team of direct reports.
* To develop a succession plan.
* To manage can manufacturing projects and assist with plant projects.
* To manage continuous improvement projects.
* Manage individual KPIs.
* Lead RCA activities to reduce plant downtimes.
* Manage Overhaul planning and critical spares.
Professional Requirements:
* Qualifications: Time-serviced, HNC or equivalent
* Languages: English is essential (other languages a plus)
* Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Auto-cad
Previous Job / Project Experience:
3 to 5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
An understanding of the can manufacturing process and automated high-speed production machinery is essential
Previous experience of managaging people is essential
