The Role
As a Functional Assessor with Ingeus, you'll use your clinical reasoning to assess how health conditions impact daily living.
You will:
* Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments
* Review medical evidence and complete clinical triage
* Use focused questioning and active listening
* Produce clear, structured reports to strict standards that enable DWP decision making.
What You Need
To be considered, you must have:
* NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
* Minimum 12 months' recent UK post-registration experience
* Have been a practicing as a clinician in the UK over the last 12 months.
* Experience working with a wide range of adult conditions across different clinical scenarios
* Strong written communication skills and be comfortable using computers.
* High attention to detail and objectivity
This role will suit clinicians who:
* Are confident assessing varied health conditions (physical, mental health, long-term)
* Can adapt their clinical reasoning across different patient presentations
* Are comfortable producing detailed written reports
Training & Working Pattern
* 6 months supported training to achieve DWP approval
* Hybrid working post-training
* Full-time hours with predictable schedule
Pay & Benefits
* Up to 10% annual bonus (paid quarterly)
* Starting salary - £44,862 Salary at 12 months - £46,862 + potential to earn an additional £2000 local bonus for this site.
