Job Title: Qualified Social Worker - Supported Lodgings (Fostering)

Salary: £38.00 per hour

About the Role/Responsibilities:
This role is crucial for delivering a highly effective Children's Social Care Service for Dorset and focuses on recruiting, assessing, and supervising supported lodgings providers, ensuring young people in Dorset have a safe and nurturing environment as they transition to independent living.
You'll be responsible for:
* Provider Recruitment & Assessment: Using evidence-based practices to assess potential supported lodgings providers. This includes responding to initial enquiries, conducting home visits, and helping with information sessions as part of an active recruitment campaign.
* Caseload Management & Support: Managing your own caseload, providing supervision to approved providers, and supporting their work with young people. You'll ensure timely responses to enquiries and submit reports, assessments, and plans within set timescales.
* Quality Assurance & Compliance: Maintaining accurate records and contributing to tracking statistics for senior management. You'll also adhere to the codes of conduct set by Social Work England and uphold best practices in children's social care.
* Professional Standards: Demonstrating competence in all areas of the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) at the Social Worker level and the Knowledge and Skills Statement (KSS) for approved child and family practitioners.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Enhanced DBS for Children's and Adults (we can obtain for you)
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* SWE (HCPC) Registered
* Degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
* 3 years post qualified experience within the UK
* Have access to a car and be willing to travel
* Experience in fostering recruitment related activity.
* Experience in recruiting and assessing foster carers, completing Form F assessments and taking prospective carers to Fostering Panel.
* Demonstrable experience of working within the framework of the Children Act 1989, Care Planning Regulations 2010, Fostering Regulations 2011, National Minimum Standards and other relevant legislation, Statutory guidance, Standards and Procedures.
* Knowledge and experience in the application of relevant theoretical frameworks, practice models, research findings and the application of psychological and human development theories.
