Sales & Events Coordinator
Job Description
1. Work closely with the Sales Office Manager and the sales team.
2. Maximize venue potential and achieve monthly budgets.
3. Assist in rate strategy for M&E aligned with budget expectations.
4. Handle reservations for bedrooms for events and transient guests.
5. Attend all mandatory and job-specific training.
6. Provide high levels of customer care during the lead-up and execution of events.
7. Approach sales opportunities positively to maximize sales and revenue, adhering to the venue's sales plan.
8. Ensure all sales procedures are followed and sales information is maintained in Opera.
9. Respond to customer inquiries within hotel guidelines.
10. Manage diary efficiently within the conference office for optimal yield.
11. Attend communication and operational meetings as a representative of the sales department.
12. Support invoicing by ensuring conference bills are accurate and timely.
13. Assist the Director of Sales with new business leads and client events.
14. Build and maintain relationships with key accounts.
15. Be aware of competitor offerings to promote the hotel effectively.
16. Comply with health and safety legislation, report issues, and participate in training.
17. Understand and adhere to Accident & Maintenance and Fire safety procedures.
18. Support the wider Operations Team and undertake ad hoc tasks as requested by HOD or Hotel Manager.
