Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Agriculture to join a well-established, industry-focused education provider. The department delivers high-quality training across land-based disciplines including forestry, arboriculture, countryside management and agriculture.
This is a teaching-focused role suited to an individual with a strong interest in the agricultural sector and a passion for supporting learner development.
About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging teaching to students studying the Livestock Pathway within the T-Level in Agriculture, Land Management and Production. The role combines theoretical delivery with practical application, supporting learners to develop the skills required for careers within the agricultural sector.
You will also work closely with colleagues and industry partners to ensure that curriculum content reflects current industry practices and employer needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver teaching and support for learners on the Livestock Pathway of the T-Level in Agriculture, Land Management and Production
* Plan and deliver lessons that balance theory with practical application
* Support learners in achieving positive outcomes and progression
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners
Candidate Requirements
* Agriculture: Experience delivering Level 3, T-Level or A-Level qualifications would be advantageous
* Agricultural Engineering: Level 5 or 6 qualification in Engineering
* An interest in and understanding of the agricultural sector, particularly livestock production
* Practical experience within agriculture, agricultural business or people management would be beneficial but is not essential
* A teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent) is preferred
* Applications are also welcomed from candidates with training or industry experience who are willing to work towards a teaching qualification
* A period of relevant and successful time, within the vocational area focusing on agricultural engineering, engines, welding and fabrication, and machinery technology

Training and development support can be provided for candidates who do not yet hold a formal teaching qualification.
