3 Month Contract With A Local Authority Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Housing Officer to specialise in Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB). The successful candidate will manage a high-volume caseload, delivering effective early intervention and taking appropriate enforcement action. This role requires a strong understanding of both non-court and court remedies, with a proactive approach to resolving tenancy-related issues and supporting safe, sustainable communities. Key Responsibilities Manage a high caseload of ASB cases from initial report through to resolution Deliver early intervention strategies to prevent escalation of anti-social behaviour Investigate complaints thoroughly, gathering evidence and maintaining accurate case records Work closely with residents, internal teams, and external partners (e.g., police, local authorities) Apply a range of enforcement tools including warnings, acceptable behaviour agreements, and injunctions Prepare and present cases for legal action, including court attendance where required Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures Provide support and guidance to victims and witnesses of ASB Monitor case progress and ensure timely resolution in line with service standards Contribute to community safety initiatives and tenancy sustainment strategies Key Skills & Experience Proven experience in a Housing Officer or ASB-focused role Strong knowledge of anti-social behaviour legislation and housing law Experience managing complex and high-volume caseloads Ability to use both early intervention and enforcement approaches effectively Experience with legal processes, including preparing court documentation and attending hearings Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities Good IT skills and experience using housing management systems Relevant Housing qualification Additional Information 37 Hours Per Week Bi-Weekly Payments
