Job Description
As a Infrastructure Architect, you will be at the heart of our IT operations and strategy. You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering resilient, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions that support both our customers current needs and long-term growth. This is a hands-on and strategic role, combining architectural vision with deep technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and architecture of on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
* Oversee implementation and integration of network, storage, compute, and virtualisation technologies.
* Optimise infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
* Lead incident response for high-impact infrastructure issues, driving root cause analysis and preventative measures.
* Develop infrastructure roadmaps aligned with our customers business strategy.
* Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Qualifications
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven track record as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Infrastructure Architect, or similar role.
* Expertise in cloud platforms and hybrid architectures.
* Strong background in networking, storage, and server virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
* Proficiency with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell).
* Solid understanding of security principles and best practices.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have
* Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Exposure to ITIL processes.
* Linux Debian administration and troubleshooting experience.
