We are looking for a rare breed: a cross between an investment buff and a marketing wizard. Someone who can make the complex sound simple (but never simplistic) and understands what makes investors tick.
Producing high-quality investment content is at the heart of how we’ve built Wealth Club from an idea to the largest online investment service for high net worth and sophisticated investors. We started in 2016 and today we have more than 13k clients who’ve invested £1.7 billion through us.
But that’s just the start. We have very ambitious plans and need more people to get there. Could you help us?
What you’ll be doing
As an Investment Content Writer at Wealth Club, you’ll be working on a range of diverse writing tasks – from original web articles to long-form financial guides, factsheets on particular investment or tax subjects and marketing emails.
These will put you ahead of the curve:
* Commercial instinct: you should always be on the lookout for opportunities and able to turn them into reality
* Ability to break down complex subjects into easily digestible copy
* Genuine interest in – and understanding of – investments and what motivates investors. To clarify: we’re not talking about the skin-deep understanding you need for a clickbait article, but the deep knowledge that allows you to write a 20-page report on a particular subject or a clear factsheet on an obscure pension rule
* Great marketing copywriting skills: you should be able to write factually accurate and compelling copy that attracts people’s attention and persuades them to take action (compliantly and without hyperbole or sensationalism)
* Keen eye for detail, experience in conducting research and fact checking
* Bags of ambition
Ideally, you would have done this – or something very similar – before: for yourself (e.g. as an investment blogger) or for a company.
So, what's in it for you?
Marketing is at the core of what we do. We have an entrepreneurial culture: we really want everyone to succeed and help you do so. If you are instrumental to the company’s growth, you’ll be rewarded handsomely.
Your salary will be competitive, based on your experience.
In addition, if you’re good and the company does well, you will get an annual discretionary bonus. For the best people, this is not a token. It can be a significant amount.
You will get 25 days of paid holidays a year plus bank holidays, pension contributions and an attractive benefits package.
Important
We all work from our office in Clifton, Bristol. Nobody works remotely. We find Teams, Zoom, Slack or whatever other clever collaboration tool are no substitute for being able to walk to someone’s desk or bounce ideas off each other whilst waiting for the kettle to boil. This works for us. Please don’t apply if you don’t think it will work for you.
