Brief Description: As a Systems Support Manager, you will lead the delivery unit's system and database management, ensuring platforms are maintained, optimised, and used effectively. You'll provide expert support and guidance on system use and asset data management, helping to ensure accurate, high-quality information that supports safe and efficient railway operations.
About The Role (External)
Every day will be different, but you can expect to be involved in the following activities:
* Lead the upgrade, maintenance, and effective use of all relevant systems and databases.
* Ensure systems are consistently updated with accurate information from both internal teams and third‑party sources.
* Provide guidance and training on system usage, monitor data quality, and resolve any issues that impact performance.
* Ensure compliance with corporate data standards.
* Manage the integrated risk management process, including the Active Risk Manager (ARM) database, and support business planning through audits, reporting, and data analysis.
* Produce management reports and maintain accurate records across systems, including updates to the Hazard Directory.
Required qualifications and experience
* Good knowledge of maintenance systems and databases.
* Good analytical skills.
* Good interpersonal, communication and organisation skills.
Desired (but not crucial)
* Knowledge of maintenance delivery processes and techniques.
* Knowledge of coaching techniques.

* Salary: Band 4.B – starting at £35,582 and rising to £42,218.
