The Role:
7. Programming, setting and operating Citizen and Star Sliding Head machinery, using Fanuc controls, to produce components for the aerospace industry.
8. Carry out the production of one-offs and small batches of components, working to extremely tight tolerances.
9. Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings to produce components using a variety of material.
10. Produce precise components, working with an array of materials including metals and plastics.
11. Carry out the TPM process for daily, weekly, and monthly machine maintenance. Ensuring all records are updated, all actions are recorded and reported.
The Requirements:
12. Previous experience surrounding programming, setting and/or operating sliding head machinery (essential)
13. Strong understanding of NC programs with the ability to read and interpret details engineering drawings and schematics (essential)
14. Previous experience working with Citizen and/or STAR machinery (advantageous)
15. Apprentice Trained with relevant qualifications eg NVQ, HND, HNC etc (advantageous)
16. High attention to detail and able to work to tight tolerances
