Key Responsibilities:
Organise tasks in a safe and methodical manner, ensuring efficiency and compliance with health and safety standards.
Work at an effective pace to meet task deadlines and fulfil client requirements.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
Provide support in various areas of the business as needed.
Assist and collaborate with team members across operations to ensure smooth workflow.
Operate Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) safely and in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements.
Unload incoming goods efficiently and safely.
Check and verify the accuracy of incoming goods against delivery documentation.
Store products correctly, maintaining an organised warehouse system.
Pick products accurately in line with customer orders.
Verify the accuracy of picked orders before packing.
Pack orders securely to ensure safe delivery.
Load outgoing deliveries as per the delivery schedule.
Complete all relevant warehouse documentation accurately and on time.
Report all damages, breakages, equipment issues, and health & safety incidents or near misses promptly.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with all Metro Supply Chain personnel.
Understand and support the companys business goals.
Foster effective communication and teamwork with customers and suppliers.
Represent the company professionally in all customer communications.
Gain a strong understanding of the products handled within the warehouse.
Work independently and take initiative to meet customer and business deadlines.
Provide support and guidance to colleagues where additional knowledge or skills are needed.
Key Skills
Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
Basic computer proficiency (PC skills).
