We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our Projects team.

The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for estimating costs for large-scale landscape construction projects. This will include reviewing plans, quantifying materials, labour, and equipment, and sourcing competitive prices from suppliers and subcontractors. You will prepare accurate and detailed tender bids, identify and assess potential risks, and work closely with our Project Consultants, providing them with all necessary support.
This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, and based at our main offices in Dartford.

Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately quantify materials required and obtain supplier quotations.
* Accurately allocate plant and machinery requirements.
* Accurately allocate labour requirements and obtain any sub-contractors quotations.
* Prepare highly detailed tender submissions.
* Determine any missing details / information, and lead communications in obtaining this from clients.
* Attend site visits.
* Attend client meetings, physically and virtually.
* Managing the estimating process within timeframes, and keeping all parties informed.
* Maintain clear, up-to-date records and documentation.
* Collaborate closely with team members, suppliers, clients and other stakeholders in order to secure projects.
* Build positive and trusting relationships with our Supply Chain.

Experience:
We are looking for a candidate who brings:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an estimating role, preferably within the Landscaping industry but alternatively in Construction or Groundworks.
A strong background in estimating and securing tenders.
Experience using estimating programmes and take-off software, particularly Bluebeam.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
An understanding of construction project risks and how to mitigate them.
A highly organised and structured approach.
The ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
A professional personality with strong communication and presentation skills.
‘On the tools’ experience is a bonus.
