Job Summary
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
Duties
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Assist with feeding residents.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
* Laundry for residents. Assist with serving tea/coffee/supper
* Follow care plans developed by healthcare professionals to meet the specific needs of each client.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to foster a supportive atmosphere.
Skills
* Experience in a care home or home care setting is essential.
* Ability to drive is beneficial given the location of the home.
* Familiarity with following care plans is highly desirable.
* Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, particularly in English, to interact positively with clients and their families.
* Empathy and patience are essential traits for providing high-quality care.
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring client satisfaction.
