Commercial Account Handler / Senior Account Handler – Whyteleafe
Job Summary
Support our growing client base by managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients and providing advice and service alongside our Account Executives.
Location & Compensation
WhyteleafeSalary: Negotiable basic salary with 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, pension, and death in service. Additional flexible benefits and a share save scheme (15% discount on BRO shares post‑probation).
Responsibilities
* Day‑to‑day servicing of a book of commercial insurance clients across multiple lines.
* Assist with renewal reports, mid‑term adjustments, and policy documentation.
* Respond promptly to client queries and find appropriate resolutions.
* Liaise with underwriters and insurers to secure the best terms.
* Maintain accurate client records in compliance with FCA guidelines.
* Identify new business opportunities and ensure new customers are properly protected.
* Collaborate with the regional leadership team to develop your skills.
Qualifications
* Strong grounding in commercial insurance products – property, casualty, and motor.
* Proficiency with the Acturis system and experience using insurer/broker portals and e‑traded systems.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to negotiate and sell.
* Confidence dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
* IT literacy and a wider skill set that includes negotiation, sales, and IT skills.
