About the Role and Key Responsibilities
TailorEDucation is seeking a motivated and creative Design Technology Teacher for an ongoing supply position starting in September at a secondary school in the Medway area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled teacher looking for a longer:term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will inspire students through practical and theoretical learning while maintaining high expectations for achievement and behaviour.
Key responsibilities include:
. Planning and delivering high:quality Design Technology lessons
. Preparing lesson resources and schemes of work
. Teaching practical and theory:based DT lessons safely and effectively
. Monitoring and assessing student progress
. Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
. Maintaining health and safety standards within workshop/classroom settings
. Contributing to the wider life of the department and school where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
. QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
. Experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary school setting

. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
