ACTUAL SALARY £35,882 - £39,854 + LGPS

Who We Are
Oasis Academy Brislington is part of the Oasis Community Learning family, a multi‑academy trust with the express purpose of transforming schools into community hubs, through applying a holistic view of education.
This is an exciting time to join us at Oasis Brislington, under the leadership of newly appointed Principal. We are a large and oversubscribed secondary academy with 1,400 students on roll. The academy was inspected by OFSTED in October 2021 and was categorised as a ‘Good’ school by the inspection team.
We are an inclusive 11‑16 community whose aim is to ensure 'Excellence as Standard' in everything we do. The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to manage the provision of safeguarding obligations under the leadership of the Academy Leadership Team and support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in ensuring adherence with statutory obligations relating to the safeguarding of students within the Academy.
* Manage the provision of safeguarding obligations in conjunction with the Leadership Team and support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in ensuring adherence with statutory obligations relating to the safeguarding of students within the Academy.
* Provide professional support to vulnerable groups and their families, including multi‑agency support and the development and implementation of strategies which contribute towards improving student attendance and reducing persistent absence. Carry out statutory responsibilities associated with student attendance and the protection of children.
* Act as a source of expert guidance to teaching and support staff within the Academy.
* Promote positive student attendance and punctuality and ensure that children at Oasis Academy Brislington are attending on a regular basis and barriers to attendance are resolved wherever possible through line management of the Attendance Officer.
* Under the guidance of the Vice Principal, lead the Mental Health strategy across the Academy, making referrals and liaising with OCL and external agencies.

* Have experience of working within an education establishment
* Have good level of ICT skills, i.e., Microsoft Package
* Be able to demonstrate flexibility and very good organisational skills
* Have emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours and attitudes
* Have a good sense of humour
