Required from 1 January 2026 Reference: 7947 This is an exciting opportunity to join the Leadership Team of our popular and successful school. We are seeking to appoint a motivated individual to lead our Creative Arts team (Art, Drama and Music). We are happy to accept applications from teachers at any stage in their career and looking for someone to work full time or 0.6FTE as a minimum. Summary of Role To lead and inspire a team of academic colleagues in the coordination and delivery of the Creative Arts across all key stages. About our School Hadleigh High School is a vibrant, student-focussed 11 – 16 secondary school rated “Good” by Ofsted in January 2019. We foster a strong community and have great pride in our students and their achievements. Our examination results continue to improve year on year, but we still have ambitious plans for the future. As part of the Middle Leadership Team, the Faculty Leader for Creative Arts plays a significant role in the strategic and operational leadership and management of the school. You will be an experienced teacher with a proven track record of innovative and successful management and leadership. We prioritise staff training and development and believe that all members of staff should have a thorough induction and an ongoing programme of training and professional development. Training is delivered every Monday, and it is divided between departmental sessions on subject pedagogy and broader professional enquiry accessed via the Great Teacher Toolkit. All colleagues are part of the whole school coaching programme where we review effective lesson structures and pedagogy, enabling all of us to continually reflect on our current teaching and always seek to improve. By investing in staff development our staff body is up to date with the latest thinking and practice in education. This in turn enables them to provide the best learning opportunities for our students, something we are passionate about every day we come to work. Our Vision We have an established reputation of nurturing high levels of attainment in our students alongside excellent pastoral support.
