We are seeking caring and motivated individuals to join our Adult Mental Health Acute & Specialist Care Service as Health Care Support Workers. You will work under the supervision of registered healthcare professionals to deliver high‑quality, compassionate care to patients at Airedale Centre for Mental Health and Lynfield Mount Hospital.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to support adults experiencing acute mental health needs and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment.
Interview Details
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an in‑person assessment centre on 16th April 2026 at New Mill, Saltaire.
This is the only date available for interviews. Virtual interviews will not be offered. Applicants must ensure they are available on this date before applying.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship set by the Home Office and the skilled worker visa occupation list. If you are currently a visa holder and your visa status expires, employment may be terminated in compliance with immigration regulations.

Duties
* Personal Care: Supporting patients with hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing while respecting dignity and privacy.
* Clinical Support: Assisting with observations, emergency procedures, and therapeutic interventions under supervision.
* Admissions & Discharges: Helping with patient transitions and maintaining accurate records.
* Communication: Engaging effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, upholding confidentiality and professionalism.
* Documentation: Recording patient information and supporting admin tasks.
* Teamwork: Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to maintain a safe, supportive ward environment.
* Patient Engagement: Supporting patients on leave and during daily activities like shopping, cooking, and appointments.
* Safety & Safeguarding: Promoting safety and reporting concerns per Trust policy.
* Flexibility: Working across wards and adapting to service needs.
* Supportive Role: Assisting with new staff induction and quality improvement.
