We have an opportunity for highly motivated undergraduates to join the Purchasing team at our Bishopstoke site. This will be a 12-month placement commencing summer 2026.It is a requirement that you are currently undertaking a Bachelor degree and looking to support your learning and development path.Every day is different and varied. You will be in charge of a wide range of different projects.Typical tasks may include:Assist the expansion of our Business-to-Businessprocurement system into new and current business areasResponsible for the management of B2B process including system management, user training & liaising with suppliers regarding potential opportunitiesIncrease internal customer satisfaction by supporting and improving the efficiencies of the procurement cycleManage the Prysmian supplier base approval processSupporting Central Purchasing Team in a range of on-going or to be defined projects as requiredInvestigate invoice discrepancies, communicate contract renewals and terminations, and support our internal contract timetable databaseAssisting negotiating contracts and setting up pricing agreementsSupport the purchasing team in carrying out spend analysis and market research worldwideSupport with the renegotiation of Long Term Agreements as well as with the management of small RFXProvide general administrative support within the Purchasing Team which would include maintaining SAP supplier prices, Payment Terms analysis & discrepanciesAbout YouYou can think on your feet, are naturally organised and meticulous in attention to detail whilst maintaining a high-level overall viewYou have head for numbersand an interest in budget managementYou have excellent communication skills, both written and verbalYou build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, negotiating successfully with suppliers and showing effective problem-solving skillsYou have good spoken English and can work in the UKExcellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office and ExcelPrysmian, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
