An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Paralegal to join a respected in-house legal team based in Walsall on a 6-month fixed term contract with 2 days working from home per week. This role offers you the chance to work closely with senior legal professionals, supporting both legal and company secretariat matters across a diverse group of companies.
The successful candidate will have at least one year of corporate paralegal experience or up to three years post-qualification experience who is eager to further develop their skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
What your day to day will look like:
* Provide comprehensive support to the General Counsel by assisting with a wide range of legal and company secretariat matters across the Group
* Organise resources efficiently for ongoing projects by taking clear instructions on new matters, monitoring the workload of the legal team, and ensuring deadlines are met
* Liaise professionally with external solicitors when required, maintaining effective communication channels and tracking progress on all outsourced matters
* Support Directors from each Group company by preparing for regular meetings, circulating relevant papers in advance, taking accurate minutes during sessions, and diligently following up on agreed actions
* Draft written resolutions as needed, manage director appointments and resignations seamlessly, and coordinate the execution of agreements using DocuSign technology
* Monitor critical timings for Companies House filings for each entity within the Group, ensuring all statutory requirements are fulfilled promptly and accurately
* Process a high volume of invoices from external consultants efficiently, maintaining meticulous records and adhering to internal financial procedures
* Assist with adhoc administrative tasks that arise within the legal department, contributing positively to the smooth running of daily operations
* Always maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information related to company affairs or personnel matters
* Demonstrate flexibility by adapting quickly to changing priorities within the fast-moving in-house environment
