The Role
As our new Mortgage Administrator, you'll be the backbone of the brokerage, making sure every mortgage and protection application is submitted correctly and cruises through to completion without a hitch. You'll support our brokers and take ownership of the nitty-gritty details that keep deals moving.
Day to day, you'll liaise with clients, lenders, solicitors, and estate agents to keep the process flowing smoothly. Think of yourself as the glue in each customer's journey – keeping everyone informed, chasing up paperwork, and updating our systems so the brokers can focus on giving great advice. You won't just be pushing paper; you'll be delivering peace of mind.

What You'll Be Doing
* Processing applications: Own the end-to-end process for mortgage and protection applications – from initial submission all the way to completion.
* Coordinating with all parties: Work closely with brokers, clients, lenders, and solicitors to keep each case on track.
* Quality control: Double-check files for accuracy and completeness, ensuring everything is compliant with FCA regulations.
* Following up: Chase any outstanding documents and keep all parties in the loop so no one's left guessing.
* Updating systems: Keep our CRM and pipeline systems updated in real-time – no missing info on your watch.
* Team support: Jump in to support the wider team whenever needed to deliver a smooth, professional experience for every client.
What We're Looking For
* Ideally at least 1 year of mortgage administration experience (preferred). If you've done similar in financial services, we'd love to hear from you too.
* An eagle eye for detail – you're the one who spots mistakes others miss.
* Friendly and professional communication skills, both written and verbal – you can keep it real with clients and colleagues alike.
* Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with lots of moving parts – you can juggle tasks and stay cool under pressure.
* A true team player with a collaborative, positive attitude. We're all in this together, and there's no "that's not my job" here – if a teammate needs help, you're there (and we'll have your back too).
* Organised and proactive – you take ownership of your tasks and don't wait around to be told what to do.
