‍ The Role

From September, you’ll support pupils aged 5–16 with:

• Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Trauma and attachment backgrounds
• Behaviour and engagement challenges

Direct Impact with Pupils

• Build positive, consistent relationships with learners
• Support 1:1 and small group interventions
• Help pupils re-engage with education after disruption
• Use de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches
• Support routines, structure and emotional regulation

Classroom Development

• Work alongside experienced teachers and pastoral teams
• Adapt lessons and activities to meet individual needs
• Support behaviour strategies and structured learning environments
• Develop the confidence to lead and manage learning situations

• SEMH Specialist Schools
• Pupil Referral Units (PRUs)
• Alternative Provisions
• Behaviour & Inclusion Units

✅ What We’re Looking For

We’re specifically looking for graduates finishing university this summer who are:

• Studying Education or a related degree (Psychology, Youth Work, Criminology, Sport, etc.)
• Ready to start a full-time role in September
• Passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs
• Resilient, reliable and calm under pressure
• Keen to build real classroom experience before or during ECT
• Available Monday–Friday (8:30am–3:30pm)
• Willing to obtain (or already hold) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
