Our client, a fast-growing tech company in Belfast, is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist. Offered initially as a 6-month fixed-term contract, this role is expected to become permanent. This is a hands-on position with plenty of scope to shape processes and make a real impact. The Role: Manage end-to-end payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments Act as the subject matter expert, providing clear payroll advice to employees and stakeholders Handle P11Ds, P60s, P45s, and all statutory reporting Liaise with HMRC, pension providers, and other statutory bodies to ensure compliance Administer and promote employee benefits, keeping rewards platform up to date and engaging Track and report payroll costs, headcount, and departmental spend against budget Maintain forward forecasts of headcount and costs in collaboration with HR and Recruitment Take ownership of the monthly commission schedule for the sales team Identify gaps and opportunities to improve payroll and benefits systems Lead or support system projects that impact payroll, expenses, and HR platforms Review and evolve the benefits platform to create a better employee experience The Person: Proven Payroll, Benefits and HR experience Experienced managing payrolls across multiple jurisdictions Recognised payroll qualification In-depth knowledge of PAYE Knowledge of statutory pay claims and processes Strong communicator both internal and external Strong Excel skills and attention to detail Benefits Competitive salary (up to £50K) Remote, hybrid and office-based working options Welcoming and supportive team Further skills development, training and support 25 days holiday plus a day off for your birthday Private healthcare, pension and life assurance To apply for this Payroll Specialist job please click on the link below or contact Nicola McCallum to discuss in the strictest confidence.
