Transport Planner

About Us:
Hoe Bridge is a thriving independent school for girls and boys aged 2 to 16. Following the recent opening of our new Senior School, we are seeking a capable Transport Planner to take responsibility for all aspects of our transport operations. You will be joining us at an exciting time in the school’s development as we continue to expand and grow.
As Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating all passenger transport services at Hoe Bridge School.
This will involve:
* overseeing complex logistics
* managing our fleet of minibuses,
* maintaining the transport database.
Strong analytical skills and confident use of Microsoft Office are essential.
The role requires regular communication with school staff, pupils, parents, drivers and coach operators, so a professional and courteous manner is vital. Your high standards of customer service will help ensure that transport operations always run smoothly and efficiently.
You will act as an ambassador for the school, using your excellent communication skills to manage situations calmly and confidently.
Requirements for the Transport Planner:
* Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an educational setting, is required.
* This background will have given you a strong understanding of the importance of organisation, collaboration and teamwork.
* A clean driving licence with a D1 entitlement is essential, as is experience driving both nine and 17 seater minibuses, with and without passengers.

Additional information:
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm during term time, and for four weeks during the school holidays. Specific days during holiday periods will be agreed according to operational requirements.
