The Governors, Headteacher, staff and pupils at St Thomas CE (VC) Primary School are looking to appointment a dynamic, motivated and passionate individual as a Teacher to join our school.
The successful candidate must be able to work effectively and compassionately with a variety of professionals across our large primary school.
Working as a team to create a bright and exciting future; we are looking forward to recruiting an enthusiastic, proud and dynamic Teacher to join our school, as part of KS1 and KS2.
Our new teacher will be a dedicated, creative and positive minded professional.
The successful applicant will demonstrate high quality classroom practice together with a genuine commitment to supporting the needs of our pupils, in all aspects of life.

Duties and Responsibilities
* In accordance with schemes of work, plan, deliver and review lessons which are appropriate to the age and ability of the students so as to facilitate progression in students’ learning.
* Ensure the requirements of the National curriculum are adhered to and that children have a safe and stimulating experience.
* Plan, prepare and fully set out a stimulating and attractive learning environment which reflects children’s learning needs and ensures safety.
* Have day-to-day responsibility for health and safety and learning of the children.
* Ensure that teaching is broad, balanced, relevant, and meets the needs of all pupils.
* Promote and maintain positive behaviour, in accordance with the rules and behaviour policy of the school.
* Ensure effective use of formative and summative assessment to drive planning and interventions.
* Provide feedback that moves learning forward.
* Manage the classroom to create a positive learning environment which makes effective use of available resources.
* Participate in CPD and activities which support teaching and learning.
* Support students throughout the day by fulfilling pastoral responsibilities.
* Engage fully in the school appraisal process
* Attend meetings / training and carry out administrative tasks and duties as specified on the school calendar.
* Consistently implement all school policies.
* Report any safeguarding concerns immediately to a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
* Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Headteacher.
