Rutherford Briant, we’re supporting a well-established organisation near Chelmsford known for its strong finance leadership and commitment to continuous improvement. They’re seeking a Finance Manager - Reporting & Controls to lead core financial operations and ensure accurate, compliant reporting across the group.
As a Finance Manager –you will:
1. Lead the transactional teams, setting objectives and monitoring performance
2. Oversee VAT, Duty, and IFRS16 reconciliations and compliance
3. Manage accruals, prepayments, and Fixed Asset schedules
4. Support timely month-end and year-end close, including audit preparation
5. Deliver P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost centre reporting
6. Support budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering activities
7. Prepare statutory accounts, tax packs, and liaise with auditors
8. Drive process improvements and support wider finance projects
As a Finance Manager, you will need…
9. ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualification
10. Proven finance team management experience
11. Strong technical knowledge (statutory accounts, IFRS)
12. Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
