The role
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will help strengthen quality standards across a diverse range of specialist vehicle conversion projects. From supporting police fleets to contributing to armoured military vehicles designed to protect lives, your work will directly support national defence and public safety. This role will expand your technical capability while enabling you to influence quality performance across the team.
Day to day you will be required to:
1. Undertake investigations into identified issues and develop quality plans
2. Implement solutions for new business opportunities and proposals
3. Collaborate with internal teams and government customers
4. Develop, implement and monitor quality standards and processes
5. Identify opportunities to optimise processes and improve efficiency
The role is based onsite at Walsall, and the set working times are Monday to Thursday with an early finish on Fridays, totalling 37.5 hours per week.
Essential experience of the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer:
6. Experience in quality control, evaluation and improvement in low or high volume production
7. Understanding of customer requirements relating to quality assurance and improvement
8. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including GD&T
9. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
10. Proficiency in quality tools including FMEA, SPC, PPAP, MSA and 8D
Qualifications for the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer:
11. Degree in engineering, quality management or a related field or equivalent experience

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and Security Check (SC) and NPPV security clearance for this role.
