Overview
As a Procurement & Supply Chain Coach, you will liaise closely with client procurement managers and supply chain managers within UK manufacturing businesses, applying strategic consulting with the senior leadership team and stakeholders. You will be at the heart of procurement processes, inventory management, and sales and operations planning (S&OP). Your title will reflect Procurement & Supply Chain Coach and this is predominantly a remote-based role with travel across the UK.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with client procurement and supply chain teams to understand objectives and opportunities.
* Lead and deliver projects from planning through execution, combining strategic planning with hands-on delivery.
* Support and optimise procurement processes, inventory management, and S&OP activities.
* Build rapport and earn trust with clients’ leadership, including from the CEO to the shop floor.
* Manage your own workload in a remote, relationship-based role with travel four to five days per week.
Qualifications
* Senior-level, strategic procurement & supply chain experience.
* Experience working within UK manufacturing businesses.
* Strong commercial understanding of how a business operates from both commercial and operations perspectives.
* Willingness to travel across the UK and potentially spend four nights a week away.
