Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership is recruiting for a Senior Social Worker - Social Care Direct Response. Location: Citywide, Base: Waverley Court. Salary: £46,023 - £54,476 (MHO and Practice Educator qualifications attract an additional salary supplement). Hours: 36 per week, hybrid and home working available to support a work/life balance.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Social Care Direct Response Team – a fast-paced and dynamic service that manages intake referrals for social work, occupational therapy, and community care assistance, providing vital support to locality teams across the city.

Responsibilities
* undertake a range of statutory tasks including assessments and support planning, risk assessment and risk management and Carers' assessments.
* work as part of a multidisciplinary team and support adults, their families, and carers to balance complex areas of risk and need with choice and rights.
* provide advice, support, guidance, and, if necessary, interventions should an adult be at risk of harm and in need of protection under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 or Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000.
* work in supportive, well-established teams with regular supervision and training.
Qualifications and Requirements
* hold a degree/diploma or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
* be registered or in the process of registering with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
* preferably PVG scheme membership or PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment.
* these posts are exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended); PVG fee and SSSC fee will be paid by us.
* the post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. A continuous period spent outside the UK of 3 months or more in the last 5 years requires an Overseas Criminal Record Check.
* unsuccessful candidates may be subject to pre-employment checks; on offer and commencement dependent on satisfactory checks.
