ABOUT THE ROLE
As Senior Project Manager, you will take the lead on delivering high-end commercial fit-out projects, overseeing a team of Contract Managers managing multiple sites. You will be responsible for ensuring projects run seamlessly from pre-construction through to completion, maintaining programme, budget, quality and safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Developing and maintaining construction programmes against baselines for both internal and client reporting (using MS Project or similar).
2. Overseeing all health & safety processes, ensuring robust compliance and safe systems of work.
3. Comprehensive contract management across JCT forms.
4. Working closely with the Commercial team to ensure integrated financial control and reporting.
5. Leading, mentoring and managing a team of 3-5 Contract Managers to deliver projects successfully.
6. Building strong relationships with clients and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
This role is based predominantly at the head office in Henley-on-Thames with regular travel to the London office and project sites across London and the Southeast.
REQUIREMENTS
7. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Design & Build fit-out projects with solid construction knowledge.
8. Strong track record managing commercial fit-out schemes, ideally including experience with luxury brands or high-end spaces.
9. Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, specifically JCT.
10. Excellent construction programming skills with proficiency in MS Project (or similar).
11. Current CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid at Work certifications.
12. Professional project management qualification such as APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
13. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
14. IT literate (Word, Excel, and in-house construction software, e.g. Spirepath).
15. Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and multiple stakeholders.
16. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with a client-focused approach.
