Due to continued success and future business growth, we are currently recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager to be based at our developments in Dundee.
To be considered, you will have worked for a new homes' developer or a social housing contractor as an Assistant Site Manager previously. We will also consider individuals that are currently working within a management role for a subcontractor.
The Role
Are you a residential Assistant Site Manager who is organised, analytical and has a good attention to detail? Do you work as an Assistant Site Manager for a developer or social housing contractor currently? Do you want to be part of a friendly, driven team? Key duties and requirements
* Assist in the management of the construction function for the development, ensuring effective compliance, control and deployment of the site while delivering the product on time, within budget and to Avant Homes standard.
* Manage build activities ensuring the development is technically safe and meets construction and customer service quality standards.
* Assist the Site Manager in overseeing the development to maintain and deliver its build programme.
* Support management of all onsite labour and sub-contractor activities while ensuring the site complies with current health and safety standards.
* Actively manage communications with customers and both internal and external stakeholders.
* Promote a customer‑focused culture and a ‘right first time’ approach to all activities.
* Attend site Sales and Build meetings in relation to individual plots and completions.
* Assist in the production of key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to construction and customer service functions.
Who are we looking for?
In addition to demonstrating experience as an Assistant Site Manager for a new homes developer or a social housing contractor, you must also possess strong organisational and communication skills, the ability to relate to all levels of staff and stakeholders, and a keen desire to work in a quality‑driven business. The ideal candidate will also convey a flexible attitude in relation to business needs.
Required qualifications and experience
* A full UK driving licence.
* A relevant qualification or proven experience within Construction Management – SMSTS is essential, along with detailed knowledge of construction processes.
* Excellent knowledge of construction build programmes and the financial implications of the methods and sequences of build.
* Commercial awareness.
* Proven awareness of codes of practice that impact on construction matters (e.g. NHBC, Building Regulations).
* Good technical knowledge relating to construction activities and design management regulations.
