Position: SEN Class Teacher Location: Tadworth, Surrey Salary: Paid to scale Contract Type: Long Term Start Date: ⏳ Immediate Duration: Monday - Friday (Full-Time) The Successful Candidate Will Have: Experience working with students with Autism and associated needs. Previous experience teaching pupils with Special Education, particularly Autism with high support needs and lower academic levels. ️ Ability to effectively manage pupil behaviour during lessons. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents, and students. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent. An enhanced Child or Child & Adult barred list DBS certificate. Role Overview: Teaching to a class of varying needs including varied types of communication (non-verbal & Physical). Implementing and delivering a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students, with a focus on Core Subjects. Working closely with students, their parents/carers, and other members of staff to ensure students' happiness and well-being. Adapting the syllabus according to the individual students' EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan). Making appropriate use of a range of monitoring and assessment strategies to evaluate pupils' progress.
