About the Role - We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team in Dundee. You will be involved in the investigation, assessment, and remediation of contaminated land, as well as geotechnical and environmental site assessments for a wide range of infrastructure and development projects across the UK.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plan and carry out Phase I and Phase II Geo-Environmental Site Investigations, including soil, groundwater, and gas monitoring.
* Prepare and review desk studies, risk assessments, and factual/interpretive reports.
* Manage site works, contractors, and sampling logistics in line with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Undertake contaminated land assessments in accordance with UK guidance (CLR11, BS10175, BS5930).
* Analyse laboratory data and prepare contamination assessment models using relevant software.
* Design and supervise remediation strategies and validation works.
* Liaise with clients, regulators (e.g., EA, local authorities), and multidisciplinary design teams.
* Support geotechnical design and interpretative reporting as part of integrated site assessment.
* Contribute to environmental impact assessments (EIAs), sustainability appraisals, and regulatory submissions.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential:
* BSc or MSc in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering Geology, or related discipline.
* Demonstrable experience in site investigation, contaminated land assessment, and reporting.
* Good understanding of relevant UK standards, legislation, and guidance (e.g., BS10175, EA Land Contamination Risk Management).
* Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
* Proficient in MS Office and relevant environmental/geotechnical software (e.g., HoleBASE, GIS, gINT).
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site work.
Desirable:
* Experience in geotechnical testing, slope stability, and foundation design.
* Working knowledge of remediation techniques and materials management (e.g., CL:AIRE DoWCoP).
* CSCS card or equivalent site safety certification.
* Working towards professional registration (CGeol, CEnv, or chartered engineer status with ICE or GeolSoc).
