Solution Architect

Reporting to a Principal Solution Architect, you will drive solution architecture for a UK&I portfolio within Engineering Solutions as part of the UK&I CTO. Your focus will span customer engagement, sales, commerce, finance, CRM, fulfilment, service & assurance and other domains.
What You'll Do
* Engage with enterprise and system architecture, and product and engineering teams, breaking down initiatives into appropriate capability changes and distilling complexity into clear architectural guidance.
* Constructively challenge commercial and operational requirements, proposing alternate approaches that simplify solutions or delivery while still delivering value.
* Role‑model a capability‑led approach to architecture and documentation, embedding its use in the team and demonstrating its value to peers and stakeholders; contribute to the capability model for your area.
* Help build the architecture runway for your portfolio, informed by business and technical objectives and the enterprise architecture strategy.
* Work with your peers and colleagues to strive for technical excellence, collaboration and strong delivery.
* Contribute to solution architecture governance, engaging positively and effectively in the process.
* Participate in enterprise governance forums when appropriate, balancing alignment with Group Architecture strategy with a pragmatic view that drives UK&I’s commercial and operational priorities.

The UK&I Technology team works on ground‑breaking projects that drive our TV, broadband, mobile and Sky Connect services. You’ll be at the heart of delivering the technology roadmaps that support our UK and Ireland businesses, with a focus on customer innovations for SkyGlass. You’ll also design, develop and deliver digital services for millions of customers across the UK.
