We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person, with previous experience of overseeing a nursery through an Ofsted Inspection and rated Good and above. The individual must be passionate about Early Years with an excellent understanding of the curriculum and requirements. Management Experience within the Early Years Foundation Stage and a nurturing and caring disposition are essential. You will need to be conscientious, well presented and have a personable approach with good communication skills with children and colleagues.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Duty of care for all children placed in their care and is responsible for the overall management of the nursery setting in order to ensure the legal and curriculum requirements are met in line with GNG Nursery's policies and procedures
* Excellent knowledge of a child development, learning and safeguarding is essential to ensure that all the children's individual needs are fully met
* Responsible for the activities, daily routines and day to day running of the nursery in order to create and develop a stimulating environment by providing high standards of quality childcare
* Maintaining a professional and positive outcome for both children and staff
* Working as part of a multi-agency team and you will be expected to have a clear understanding of your role and the role of other professionals
Requirements:
Level 3 or above relevant childcare qualification is essential. In addition, candidates will need to demonstrate:
* Broad and relevant childcare experience in a nursery environment (minimum 4 years)
* Managerial Experience of the Private Day Nurseries Sector
* Comprehensive knowledge of the work practices, processes and procedures relevant to the role specifically in relation to the childcare, National curriculum and legislative requirements
* Experience of working independently and confidently
* Comprehensive knowledge of operating systems that are required to provide reportable data, advice and guidance across the nursery setting and head office
* Comprehensive knowledge of childcare legislative policies and implementation
* Experience of staff training and development
* Effective time management skills
